Reference

Transmit Delay

This option delays burglary alarm reports before they are sent to the monitoring center. This gives users time to disarm the system before an alarm is reported. Other zone types are sent immediately. Alarm bells and relay outputs are not delayed.

Abort Reports

If the system is disarmed before the transmit delay expires, the panel sends an Abort Report (S45) instead of an alarm report.

Alarm Cancelled Reports

If the system is disarmed after the alarm report is sent but before the Bell Cutoff time expires, the panel sends an Alarm Cancelled (S49) report.

Communication Paths

Each primary path creates a path group, which consists of the primary path and any subsequent backup paths. The panel normally communicates using the primary path and switches to a backup path only if the primary path fails or if a backup path is configured to duplicate messages.

Primary and Backup Paths

  • Path 1 is always configured as the primary communication path.

  • Paths 2-8 can be configured as either primary or backup paths.

  • Path 8 cannot be configured with a backup communication path.

  • The panel normally communicates using the primary path. Backup paths are used only if the primary path fails or when configured to duplicate messages.

Communication Types

This options determines the network used to communicate to the monitoring center. Depending on the installation, the panel can be connected over Ethernet or a cellular network.

Systems that do not report to a monitoring center can operate without an active communication method. Selecting None is typically used for local systems.

Receiver Configuration

This option determines how the panel communicates with the monitoring center.

Receiver Host Name

A receiver host name identifies the monitoring center receiver using a name instead of an IP address. Use a host name to allow the panel to continue communicating if the receiver's IP address changes without requiring the panel configuration to be updated. When a receiver host name is configured, a receiver IP address is not required.

IP Addressing

An IP address identifies the monitoring center receiver using a numeric network address. IPv4 is the most commonly used IP address format. IPv6 is a newer IP address format used on networks configured for IPv6.
